PSRE’s latest move aims to help more federal and postal service employees plan their retirement effectively through in-person learning, e-learning tools, and classroom training. Timeslots are available to accommodate employees’ schedules so they can receive training at their convenience without disrupting their work.
With PSRE’s services, federal and postal workers can learn how to maximize the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) and tailor it to their retirement goals. Through its sessions, employees can gain knowledge to optimize their TSP investment mix and contribution percentage to build the nest egg they need.
One of the main focal points of the training is strategies for creating reliable monthly retirement payments that will provide a secure future. PSRE educators cover TSP withdrawal strategies, and employees will learn how to convert their savings into lifelong retirement payments for long-term security.
The sessions focus on reducing risk while maximizing savings. PSRE’s educators provide guidance on balancing equities and fixed-income assets to protect a portfolio from market volatility. Training participants can learn principles of diversification, asset allocation, and portfolio rebalancing to grow retirement savings while managing risk.
PSRE training also covers strategies for reducing Federal Employees’ Group Life Insurance (FEGLI) costs. It was designed to help employees determine the right amount of life insurance for their situation and provide information on FEGLI coverage options to avoid overpaying for unnecessary insurance.
Finally, to meet the needs of remote employees and those with disabilities, PSRE offers ADA-compliant e-learning options, which allow employees to access online training at their convenience and pace and review learning material multiple times.
The company is one of the largest of its type in the US and uses its own web-based software to deliver customized training throughout the country.
A spokesperson states: “PSRE is dedicated to empowering federal employees with the knowledge and tools they need for a financially secure retirement. Our comprehensive resources, expert guidance, and personalized support ensure individuals can make informed decisions about their retirement plans.”
